An amigurumi is a type of knitted or crocheted stuffed toy with a sweet-natured appearance. The word is derived from the Japanese crochet and knitting words ami (crochet) and nuigurumi (knitted doll). These are usually small, about the size of a grapefruit, and are often designed to resemble wild animals.
